Elisabeth Lutyens letters to Vilem Tausky and Robert Ponsonby, 1960-1981.

Elisabeth Lutyens writes to Czech composer and conductor Vilem Tausky, 9 August 1960, thanking him for "such a good performance" of "En Voyage." She writes to Robert [Ponsonby], 28 September 1976, that she is "nervous of any rumour that it is 'dangerous' to commission me--as commission + film royalties are my livelihood," and, 10 June 1981, resenting the label "woman composer" and commenting that arthritis may prevent her from being able to write again.
